Spiritual housecleaning Cleaning out the Spirit of bitterness

root of bitterness

Ephesians 4:31

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Testimony by Denise Marie

This is a deadly evil Spirit that is taking over a lot of hearts. I would like to share a testimony with you. Many of us have been wronged by others and sometimes the offenders have a spirit of bitterness and sometimes they will try to transfer this spirit on you, because they have received this spirit by someone else. I know in my Christian walk this has happened countless times to me. This evil spirit is so tricky and has so many roots it tries to trap the most seasoned Christians. The devil knows your strengths and your weaknesses in the flesh. This is why we must walk in the spirit at all times. The evil spirit of bitterness subtly sets a deadly trap. The Lord had to show me something that I myself did to others, and  had picked up. I thank God for his redemptive power and his power to deliver us from such things like this evil spirit. It is a divisive trap set to get a lot of people left behind, the Lord had shown me in this way.

bitterness

The Lord revealed this to me after I let go of a lot of hurt and bitterness and before this vision I had repented. Then the Lord taught me and he revealed to me what I was doing.  In a dream I walked with a friend her name meant bitterness. We walked into an airport. My church had given us money to get back from a place on a airline ticket. We were walking toward a terminal to board a plane. Then purposely this woman climbed the fence right outside the airport. I followed her telling her that she was going the wrong way. She stubbornly objected I knew in this dream that we had a limited time to get to the gate before the flight would take off. This lady purposely wasted my time going in and out of a shop. I looked at the time and we were far away from the airport and I yelled at her that we had 5 minutes to make the flight and there would be no more money given to us to make the next flight. I explained this is the last time for a ticket. I told her that I was leaving for the airport. The lady fought me I asked her well would you still like to look and stay another day and catch a flight out of here. The lady was very bitter she said no! I spoke to this lady peaceably she formed a bitterness toward me, and left. I asked her where is she going? She took another route, meanwhile two minister friends I had then  appeared.  I looked at this lady and let her go her own way. She seemed like a friend, but she was not, Her name meant  bitterness. The two ministering friends in the dream came to comfort me, they looked on as this stubborn lady left. They not only comforted me they took me to a place to eat to feed me. As I wept in frustration at this betrayal  by this person in my dream.  I let this evil person go their way.

Amen

Upon waking from this dream, I know that before this dream I had repented to the Lord of bitterness, and anger, I had for a number of people, who treated me with bitterness. I asked the Lord to forgive me and bless them. There is a lot of walking wounded Christians out there and some have picked up this Spirit of bitterness, they have given up on church altogether because of some of the people who are ministering to others but are wounded by this evil spirit and unknowingly transfers this spirit to others, because you may remind them of the person who hurt them. This is not your fault they are in need of deliverance move on when this happens forgive them, they may be hurting! Sometimes we need to forgive people even when they do not ask for it. God is no respecter of persons all things will be judged. If we do not clean our garments with his redemptive blood now, We will give ours when the tribulation period comes. The Word of God says this about the trap of anger.

Ephesians 4:26

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath

If we neglect to do what this scripture tells us to do, bitterness can set in like a poisonous root. The person or persons you hold anger toward is not drinking the poison, you are, if you let this spirit transfer. We must bless those who curse us and say all manner of evil against us falsely and still love regardless, Jesus loves us in spite of our sins.

nasty little root

Forgiveness is the key to breaking the bitter root of bitterness. If it is not broken you will pollute your Spirit and distance yourself from the path God has set before you to walk. When you forgive do so in word, not only that but in deed too.

win the battle over bitterness

Just as the Lord had shown me in this dream, what I had done by being bitter, I in turn was no better than this friend, she represented me, and the person doing this sin to me.  that, I repented before having this vision. I thank God for his forgiveness when I stumble. I believe Jesus was showing me myself. So that I could have a testimony to share with you. I tell you the truth please forgive everyone who has stepped on your toes, and offended you. Also what I got out of this vision is that, It is not bad for relationships to be severed when someone is constantly and purposefully making you stumble by exposing you to this evil spirit of resentment and bitterness.  Sometimes this is for their own purposes to control you. We do not have to stay in a situation like this and be abused. In this vision I departed from the situation and the person, I knew it was the right thing to do. God sent  Ministers to comfort me in the situation I was in,  In this vision.

1 a hand forgive

No matter if the person apologizes, or not forgive them, pray blessings for them, and love them and move on. God has a bigger blessing for you when you or I forgive. We do not have to stay in abuse, put everyone you pray for in the hands of God. And understand this, While we were yet sinners Jesus bled and died on the cross of Calvary so that we could have eternal life and he did not have to do it but he did it anyway. Jesus forgives us every time we stumble and fall. Sometimes we think at times that we can be justified by holding grudges and walking in bitterness because we were wronged. But God does not see it like that. Did you know that we sin when we do this in our pride and self righteousness? We cannot do this it will destroy your witness for the Lord, even if it is done secretly. We must forgive no matter what . Jesus has forgiven us for what we have done wrong and we must forgive like he did.
